Cesar Stool / Side Table

The Cesar Stool / Side Table exemplifies the Minotti philosophy of treating every element of an interior — including the smallest accessory — as an opportunity for considered design. Rodolfo Dordoni conceived the Cesar as a flexible object that resists easy categorization: it is simultaneously a side table, an occasional stool, a sculptural element, and a chromatic accent piece.

Its construction in Baydur® structural polyurethane allows for a precision of form that would be difficult to achieve in wood or stone, and the high-gloss lacquer finish is applied with the same care given to Minotti's upholstered pieces. The result is an object that reads as luxury at close range — the lacquer surface is deep, consistent, and free of imperfection.

In practice, the Cesar works most effectively in groups — clustered at varying heights around a sofa system, or used as a single punctuation mark beside an armchair or daybed. The two silhouette options (Hourglass and Pawn) allow for subtle variation within a single composition, and the breadth of the color palette enables precise coordination with upholstery and architectural finishes. It is equally appropriate in residential living rooms, hotel suite sitting areas, and boutique retail environments where accessory design carries weight.
