Aston Armchair

The Aston Armchair draws from a specific and well-defined design tradition: the Italian post-war armchair, characterized by generous upholstered forms, slender metal legs, and the optimistic material confidence of the economic miracle period. Rodolfo Dordoni's interpretation updates this tradition through contemporary construction techniques and material specifications without losing the essential formal qualities — the enveloping backrest, the visual lightness achieved by slender legs, the careful balance between comfort and elegance — that define the typology.

The die-cast aluminum legs, produced through a precision casting process and finished in high-gloss Pewter with anti-fingerprint treatment, are among the most refined structural elements in the Minotti armchair collection. The anti-fingerprint treatment — a coating that prevents the accumulation of oils and marks on the high-gloss surface — is a practical response to the requirements of hospitality environments where furniture must maintain its appearance under constant use.
