GamFratesi — the Copenhagen/Milan design partnership of Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi — brings a Nordic-Mediterranean material sensibility to the Fynn Armchair that distinguishes it from Minotti's purely Italian-language pieces. The emphasis on solid wood as a primary structural and aesthetic material reflects a Scandinavian design tradition in which wood is treated with the same precision and respect normally reserved for metal, while the overall form and upholstery quality reflect Italian craftsmanship standards.
The manual shaping of the wooden armrest is the most labor-intensive operation in the Fynn's production. Each armrest is individually worked to achieve the ergonomic profile — a process that cannot be fully automated because the precise curvature required to support a human arm comfortably involves subtle variations that must be adjusted by hand. The hand-finishing — staining, sanding, sealing — further individualizes each piece, ensuring that no two Fynn armchairs are identical in their wood grain pattern or surface character. This individuality is not a quality-control failure but a feature: it is the evidence of making.
