Jacob Coffee Table

The Jacob's 'C-shape' configuration is its most distinctive and commercially relevant functional attribute. Conventional coffee tables require users to lean forward from a seated position to reach objects on the table surface — a posture that is briefly comfortable but becomes tiring over extended periods. The Jacob's C-shape allows the frame to slide under a sofa seat or chaise, positioning the top surface at arm height for a seated user and eliminating the need to lean forward entirely. This ergonomic advantage makes the Jacob particularly appropriate for environments where extended comfortable seating is a priority: hotel suite bedrooms, residential media rooms, and reading areas.

The tapered top edge — a detail in which the top surface reduces in apparent thickness toward its perimeter — is a precision craft operation that gives the Jacob a visual lightness despite the material density of the Marble and Solid Oak top options.
