Designer Screen Shades

Designer Screen Shades are built to cut UV rays coming through a window without blocking the view out of it, using a fabric that filters strong sun rather than a covering that closes the window off completely.

The shades are available in Hunter Douglas’s Eco Collection fabrics, made from recovered shoreline plastic or recycled yarns, and a range of fabric opacities lets the amount of light passing through be tuned to the room. The shade raises and lowers smoothly and evenly on a beaded loop control, and two options extend it further: a light control and privacy system, offered as either the Duolite build or a dual roller design, and decorative accents that can be added along the top or bottom edge for a finished look, or left off for a plainer profile that keeps the fabric as the only visible material.

Because they cut UV without closing off the window, Designer Screen Shades suit a room that gets strong, direct sun through the day, where the goal is to protect furniture and flooring from fading while still keeping the outlook through the glass.
