GamFratesi's Lido Armchair demonstrates the studio's ability to achieve formal complexity through geometric restraint. The continuous curve that defines the chair's outer profile is not a simple arc but a carefully calibrated compound form that provides lateral support at shoulder height, transitions smoothly through the arms, and terminates at the seat level without any break or junction that would compromise the reading of the form as a single, unified gesture.

The cold-molded polyurethane foam shell follows this geometry precisely, providing the structural basis for the curve while enabling the choice of removable fabric or fixed leather upholstery — a practical distinction that acknowledges the Lido's suitability for both residential (where removable covers may be desirable for maintenance) and hospitality contexts (where fixed upholstery provides better long-term appearance).
