The result is a piece of deceptive simplicity: every dimension is considered, every curve is functional, and the hand-finishing of Maruni’s craftsmen brings it to a level of material quality rarely achieved in a production chair.

Jasper Morrison is a British designer born in 1959, celebrated for his "Super Normal" philosophy — the belief that the best design is so natural and appropriate it seems to have always existed. He founded Jasper Morrison Ltd. in London in 1986 and has offices in London, Paris, and Tokyo. He co-founded the Super Normal movement with Naoto Fukasawa in 2005.
