Verner Panton for Louis Poulsen, 1971 (Portable version).
The Panthella Portable takes Verner Panton’s iconic 1971 mushroom lamp and makes it truly nomadic — a cordless, battery-powered version that can be carried from room to room, placed on a dining table for candlelit atmosphere, taken to a terrace, or used as a bedside lamp wherever an outlet is inconvenient. The silhouette is faithful to the original: mouth-blown opal glass diffuser on a smoothly curved metallic stem, the two forms merging without visible joints.
The portable version includes a USB-C charging port and offers up to eight hours of use on a single charge. It is dimmable via a touch control on the base, with a memory function that recalls the last brightness setting. Available in white, chrome, brass, and a range of lacquered colours. IP20 rated for indoor use; the design is suitable for outdoor use in sheltered conditions. The Panthella Portable has become one of the most specified cordless design lamps in hospitality and residential interiors.
