Patio Outdoor Sofa

The Patio Outdoor Sofa represents GamFratesi's approach to the outdoor furniture typology: treating the exterior environment not as a secondary space to be furnished with weather-resistant versions of interior products, but as a distinct spatial context requiring its own formal and material responses. The 'mosaic' material logic — in which different materials perform different functions and create different visual textures within a single configuration — is a design strategy that acknowledges the complexity of outdoor living environments while providing the coherence of a unified design system.

The Mahogany or Teak trays — solid hardwood elements integrated into the system — introduce a material warmth and natural texture that connects the Patio to the garden environment rather than contrasting with it. The woven polypropylene cord backrests provide weather resistance without the synthetic appearance often associated with outdoor-grade materials: the cord's texture and the complexity of the weave pattern give the backrests a quality that reads as crafted rather than manufactured. The water-repellent Dry-foam cushions maintain their form and comfort through repeated exposure to rain and humidity without the extended drying times associated with conventional outdoor foam.
