Delight is built from a single piece of heat resistant glass fabric, sized 75 by 75 cm, lit from within by a bulb fitted into a standard E27 socket rather than a dedicated light source built into the piece. The fabric itself is rated to withstand heat up to 180 degrees Celsius, and the bulb inside can be replaced by hand rather than needing a specialist.
Because the glass fabric itself is what carries the light, Delight works as a small glowing panel rather than a conventional shade, suited to a room where a quiet, evenly lit surface is more useful than a directional beam.
