Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen.
The PH 2/1 Wall applies Henningsen’s foundational three-shade logic to a wall-mounted format — delivering the same glare-free, mathematically calibrated light that defines the PH family in a compact sconce suited to bedside reading, hallways, and atmospheric accent positions. The shades are mouth-blown opal glass in multiple layers, each with a white sandblasted underside to reflect a soft, even light. The stem and base are lacquered metal.
The PH 2/1 wall version maintains Henningsen’s colour correction system: a small inner shade adds warmth to the light source, correcting the colour temperature toward a more natural, incandescent quality. The result is a lamp that is visually minimal on the wall — small in footprint, architecturally restrained — but produces light of exceptional quality for its size. Available in white and brass finishes.

Poul Henningsen (1894–1967) was a Danish architect, author, and designer, and the most significant figure in Scandinavian lighting design. His PH (Poul Henningsen) lamp system, developed in the 1920s, was the first designed specifically to eliminate glare and diffuse light evenly in all directions without a visible light source. The PH 5, Artichoke, and AJ lamps remain the most celebrated designs in Danish design history.
