The Yuh Floor lamp takes its name from a Korean word for ‘woman’ — a tribute to the feminine silhouette that inspired its form. The shade is a gently curved volume of spun aluminium that tilts on a slim stem, angled to direct light primarily downward while a narrow top opening releases a soft ambient glow. The shade’s angle is adjustable, allowing the lamp to be tuned for reading or for general illumination.

Yuh is among the more emotionally warm designs in Louis Poulsen’s catalog — its proportions are generous, its lines are soft rather than strict, and the adjustable shade gives it an attentive quality, as though the lamp is leaning toward you. Available in polished aluminium and a selection of coloured powder-coat finishes, it works equally well as a reading companion or as a sculptural presence in a living room corner.

About the DesignersGamFratesi is the Copenhagen-based studio of Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi. Their work spans furniture, lighting, and objects, and is distinguished by a rigorous engagement with Scandinavian craft traditions combined with a southern European warmth of form. They have designed for Gubi, Georg Jensen, and Royal Copenhagen, and their collaboration with Louis Poulsen reflects their interest in lamps as objects of presence.
