Yang Bed

Yang Bed carries the proportions of the Yang seating system into the bedroom, and its headboard is built around the same motif as the Offset elements in that collection: generously padded, and projected out on both sides so the whole headboard reads as one continuous profile rather than a rectangle stopped at the mattress edge. That shape works with the Close bedside tables, so the headboard and the nightstands beside it read as one composition. An optional headrest can be added for anyone who reads in bed, giving extra support without changing the line of the piece.

The bed is a one-piece, free-standing frame in thick plywood, built to hold pocket springs over a base only 17 cm high, paired with Minotti’s own Comfort H25 mattress. A perforated plywood panel sits under the springs, and a perforated fabric layer covers the sprung structure, letting air move through the base rather than trap it. The headboard is padded plywood, finished in a heat-bonded fiber laminated to white cotton fabric, and the frame is carried on extruded aluminum in a high-gloss, anti-fingerprint Pewter finish, resting on nylon slides.

Because the frame is engineered around this spring and mattress system, Yang Bed cannot take a regular slatted base, and the mattress height is not adjustable, so it suits a bedroom planned around it from the start. The headboard’s two headrests make it a practical choice for a bedroom used for reading as much as sleeping, and pairing it with the Close nightstands keeps the wall reading as one piece. Covers are fully removable, with the headboard lifting free of the frame.
