Pico

Pico’s legs carry the design argument. Cast in aluminum and tapered rather than left as a plain cylinder, they give the table a fluid, light stance instead of the heavier presence a solid plinth would create, and the top itself is shaped with no sharp edges so the lightness of the base continues into the surface a person actually touches. The result is a table built around the base first and the top second, which is the opposite order from most tables in the same room.

Flexform offers the top in two directions from that same base: cut from marble, or made from wood veneer finished in a stained tone, letting a designer choose between a cool stone surface and a warmer, grain-led one without changing the table’s proportions. The legs themselves come cast in aluminum, or in an alternative aluminum finish, and rest on protective tips made of thermoplastic material so the tapered profile is not compromised by visible feet.

Because Pico is offered across coffee and side table sizes, it works equally as the central table in a seating group or as a smaller companion piece beside a chair. Designers should choose the marble or wood veneer top with the rest of the room’s material palette in mind, since the tapered aluminum legs read the same way underneath either surface, and the top is what will carry most of the table’s visual weight in a photograph or a walkthrough.
