La Belle Etoile

La Belle Etoile takes its form from movement rather than a fixed shape: the draped, layered surface is meant to recall a dancer’s skirt caught mid motion, and the printed texture across each layer keeps that sense of lightness even though the fixture is fixed to the wall.

Each piece is handmade in Slamp’s own workshop from Cristalflex, with the graphic pattern printed directly onto the draped surface rather than added afterward. A magnetic system holds the light module in place, so the module can be taken out and replaced without dismantling the surrounding shell, which keeps maintenance simple over the life of the fixture.

The same design is offered as a wall light or a ceiling light, so a single order can be specified consistently across a run of rooms, from an entrance hall to a hospitality lobby to a residential living space. Because the piece reads as soft and layered rather than sharp, a designer can use it as the one decorative fixture in an otherwise restrained room without it competing with other elements.
