Lexington’s shelves and storage units are not fixed to a single frame; they hang from wall-mounted or floor-to-ceiling uprights and can be positioned at whatever height a room needs. Using ceiling uprights instead of wall mounted ones opens up a further option: a double sided composition, finished on both faces, that can stand in the middle of a room and divide the space rather than sitting flat against a wall.

The uprights come either in a painted metal toned finish or in a warmer wood, so the same modular shelves and storage units can read as a cool architectural wall or a softer, more furniture like one depending on which upright is chosen. Storage units are built with leaf doors, drawers or flap doors rather than one fixed door type, and one of the flap door units is designed specifically to hold a television, with a lid that flips up and a cable pass through on the lid and the back panel. Because the system is modular, its total width is the sum of the individual shelves plus the uprights between them, so a composition is built shelf by shelf rather than chosen from a fixed size list.

In a living room, the double sided version works well as a room divider between a living and dining area, while the wall mounted version suits a straightforward media wall along one side of a room.
