Grace Chair

Grace works from a simple pairing: a slender solid wood frame with a seat that is soft and deliberately inviting rather than a plain hard shell, so the chair reads as light in the room while still giving real cushioned comfort to sit in. Offering the frame with or without armrests is the other half of the decision, letting the same basic chair serve as a head chair at one end of a table or a plain side chair around it.

The chair is upholstered throughout in fabric or leather, which keeps the frame visually consistent while changing how the piece feels and reads from one specification to the next. In its more refined version, the backrest is woven in leather rather than upholstered flat, built in Nabuk or Silk leather, which gives the back of the chair a textured surface instead of a plain covered one.
