Winny Sofa

Winny is built as a sofa bed for a room that also has to work as an occasional guest bedroom, and the underlying decision is to keep the same level of furnishing quality as the rest of the room rather than letting the piece read as a fold-out fallback once the guests leave. Flexform offers it in single and queen sizes, so the same design idea scales from a smaller guest corner up to a room used more regularly for overnight stays.

The frame is built in metal, padded with polyurethane foam and covered with a protective fabric lining before the visible upholstery goes on. The seat cushions are filled with sterilized, gold-label-certified goose down. The entire cover comes off completely in both the fabric and the leather versions.

In a living room that occasionally becomes a guest room, Winny lets the sofa stay the room’s main seating the rest of the time rather than announcing its second job. The single size suits a smaller room or a home office that only needs to sleep one guest, while the queen size suits a space used more often as a proper guest bedroom, and designers should choose between them based on how frequently that conversion actually happens.
