Yanzi builds a suspension fixture from small swallow shaped lights set along branching arms, styled to read like birds perched on branches rather than a conventional pendant. Each figure has a brushed brass body and a head formed from a white glass sphere that encloses the light source, and the birds are arranged either sitting free on the branches or enclosed within small glass cages.
As a suspension fixture, Yanzi suits a run of ceiling drops where several of the birds can be grouped together, letting the branching arms and cages build a small composition overhead rather than a single point of light.
