The Horse Lamp is a floor lamp from Moooi’s Animal Family, built true to the dimensions of a real horse, with a black lampshade balanced above its head. The idea is simple and deliberate: a life-size animal that carries a light, meant to be the piece people notice first when they walk into a room.
The horse is made of a PVC and viscose laminate over a metal frame, and the shade is polyester. Because of its size it needs a room with real floor space around it, such as a large living room, an entrance hall or a lounge, where it can stand as the single statement in the space rather than competing with other large pieces.
