The Connery Seating System is Rodolfo Dordoni's study in the intersection of the sculptural and the functional. The 'Flap' elements — horizontal surfaces that extend from the back of the system — are inspired by the cantilevered architectural details of modernist American buildings, and they introduce a programmatic layer to the system that most seating collections do not attempt. They function simultaneously as visual elements, practical surfaces, and structural connectors between modular components.
In large-scale installations, the Connery system creates what Minotti describes as a 'landscape of seating' — a composition that reads more as architectural intervention than conventional furniture arrangement. The Polished Brandy-finish aluminum blade feet provide a material accent that connects the system to Minotti's broader design language while giving each configuration a sense of precision and lightness despite its considerable scale. Channeled goose down padding ensures that the system's visual formality does not compromise occupant comfort.
This piece is available in a wide range of upholstery options including premium fabrics and leathers, with multiple frame finishes and modular configurations to suit any interior.
