Feel Good Chair

Feel Good is conceived as one family of seating, chairs, armchairs, dining armchairs and stools, built around a single enveloping shell, and this dining chair is the version of that shell sized for the table rather than for lounging. The decision that separates it from the rest of the range is the leg: Flexform’s own sleek aluminum design with a solid wood version offered as an alternative for a room built in warmer materials.

The shell that gives the chair its enveloping profile is built from structural polyurethane over a metal frame reinforced with rigid polyurethane, with a protective fabric lining between the frame and the outer cover. Rather than the goose down used on the range’s armchairs and ottoman, this dining chair’s seat cushion is padded with polyurethane foam and Dacron. The covers are fixed rather than removable, so whatever fabric or leather is chosen is finished onto the chair rather than fitted as a loose cover.

Because the shell shares its shape with the rest of the Feel Good range, the dining chair reads as part of a family that can extend from the table into the surrounding armchairs and stools, which suits a dining room or an open kitchen table meant to relate visually to a nearby seating area furnished from the same line.
