Designed by Jorge Pensi for Artemide, 1994.

The Miconos Wall is an exercise in classical clarity — a hand-blown glass globe, perfectly spherical and water-clear, mounted on a polished chrome base and stem. It produces a softly diffused, omnidirectional glow that is warm and welcoming without being intrusive. The form draws on the long tradition of the globe lamp but resolves it with a precision that makes it feel entirely contemporary: the proportion of globe to stem is exact, the chrome immaculate, the glass genuinely handmade.

Miconos is suited equally to modern minimalist interiors and more traditional rooms — its clarity of form allows it to read as either bold statement or quiet complement depending on its surroundings. Available as a wall-mounted fixture, it adds a note of considered luxury to corridors, living rooms, and bedroom walls.
