Romeo Sofa

Romeo takes its character from a set of small, deliberate details rather than a single dramatic move: tapered cast aluminum feet, and a fine grosgrain piping that traces the stitching and sharpens the sofa’s balanced proportions. Flexform built the design around getting the seat’s incline just right, pairing that with generously down filled cushions so the sofa reads as restrained on the outside while remaining genuinely comfortable to sit in.

Underneath the upholstery, the backrest is built on a metal structure with a soft polyurethane foam topper, wrapped in a protective laminated fabric before the final cover goes on. The seat cushions are filled with sterilized goose down, certified to the Assopiuma gold label, over an insert built from a crushproof, variable density material so the seat keeps its shape over time. The armrests carry their own layer of polyurethane foam alongside the same certified down padding. The sofa stands on cast aluminum feet, and unlike some seating in the collection, both the fabric and leather covers on Romeo are fully removable.

Because Romeo can be dressed in any fabric or leather from the Flexform collection, the same frame can read as sleekly minimalist in one home and classically tailored in another, a flexible choice for a living room that needs to sit alongside existing furniture rather than dictate the room around it.
