The Seymour Seating System is Minotti's most direct engagement with the curved sofa tradition — a form that has historically been associated with the finest European upholstered furniture but that has often been difficult to integrate into modular systems without compromising either formal integrity or functional versatility. Rodolfo Dordoni resolved this tension by developing a module system in which curved and linear components can be combined within a single configuration, each maintaining its own formal clarity while relating coherently to adjacent modules.
The depth of the Seymour modules — at 1150mm, deeper than most comparable systems — contributes to the quality of comfort that the system delivers. Deep seating is associated with relaxation and extended occupation rather than formal, upright posture, and the Seymour's depth makes it an appropriate choice for environments where occupants are expected to spend extended periods — hotel lounges, private members' clubs, residential family rooms, and spa reception areas. The longitudinal aluminum base bars in Bronze finish provide a refined material accent that acknowledges the system's formal ambition without competing with its upholstery.
This piece is available in a wide range of upholstery options including premium fabrics and leathers, with multiple frame finishes and modular configurations to suit any interior.
