White builds a sofa from a stack of distinct planes rather than one continuous volume: a base, then separate seat backs, cushions, and optional flat tray tops sit visibly on top of it, so the piece reads as overlapping horizontal lines, and the gaps between those layers are as much a part of the design as the upholstery.

A multi-ply wood frame on elastic strap suspension carries variable-density resilient foam, with armrests and backrests finished in a channeled goose down quilt that softens the crisp, layered geometry. Seat and back cushions are fully reversible, each built around a foam core wrapped in the same channeled down, so wear evens out over the life of the piece. Every cover, in fabric, leather or saddle hide, comes off completely, a real consideration given how many upholstered surfaces this composition carries. The feet are cast rather than turned, an exclusive Minotti Studio design in a polished finish that keeps the base light against the floor.

The option to substitute a flat tray for an armrest, or along the backrest on the sofa version, makes White useful wherever a side surface needs to sit within the seating line rather than as a separate table, in a living room or a hospitality lounge. The strongly horizontal profile suits a room where the sofa should read as a considered object, and pairs with other pieces sharing the same planar language. Designers should decide early which sides of a tray-equipped composition will be seen, since the tray sits flush with the base and reads best from the front.
