The Yang Seating System's distinguishing design move is its use of offset modules — elements that are positioned at angles to the primary configuration axis rather than parallel to it. This apparently simple formal decision has significant consequences for the spatial character of any Yang installation: it breaks the relentless linearity that affects most modular seating systems and creates a composition that reads as more dynamic, more spatially active, and more interesting from multiple viewpoints.
The integrated side tables — available in Moka Ash or Glossy Lacquer to coordinate with upholstery and interior finishes — are built into the system's structural framework rather than being added as accessories. This means they are perfectly sized and positioned relative to the seating elements, and they cannot be displaced by users in the way that freestanding accessories can. For contract and hospitality environments where the integrity of the furniture composition must be maintained over time, this integration is a significant practical advantage.
