Jacques began from a soft, retro-leaning shape and grew into a collection of sofas, armchairs and ottomans, sharing rounded lines and a bronze-finished metal base. Set beside the same collection’s more angular Lawrence sofa, Jacques reads as the rounder, softer counterpart, and the armchair carries that contrast on its own: a compact, curved seat with visible stitching that traces the shape rather than hiding the seams.

The frame is metal coated in fire-resistant foam, with the backrest getting an added layer of softer foam as the collection’s larger sofas do, and the seat hung on elastic webbing with a high rubber content. Both cushions are filled with channeled goose down, the backrest over a memory-foam core and the seat over a high-resilience core. Every cover, seat, backrest and structure, comes off completely in fabric and leather. The base is a curved bronze-finished metal band running the chair’s perimeter, and the armchair is offered with a fixed base or a 360 degree swivel base without return.

A fixed armchair suits a settled arrangement beside the Jacques sofa, where matching the base ties the pieces together. The swivel version suits a spot where the chair needs to turn between a conversation group and a view. Jacques’ compact proportions let the armchair work in a home living room or a hospitality lounge, and because the collection shares one base finish, a chair from this family can be added later to a room already furnished with the Jacques sofa without mismatch.
