Istos

Istos is built from a single fibre, Botanical Silk, and offered in more than one configuration: a round version in one set size, a rectangular version across three sizes, and both shapes can also be made to measure. The choice on offer here is less about pattern and more about matching the rug’s format to a specific room.

Because the rug is 100 percent Botanical Silk rather than a wool or mixed weave, the whole rug is made from one fibre, so its character comes from that material rather than from a mix.

The round version suits a room organised around a round table or a circular seating group, while the rectangular sizes work under a sofa, a bed, or along a run of furniture set on straight lines. Where none of the standard sizes fit, the made to measure option lets a designer specify Istos for an irregular room rather than choosing a rug that leaves an uneven border of floor showing. A designer ordering a made to measure Istos should fix the furniture plan first and size the rug from it, so the border of floor around it is even on every side.
