PostKrisi Pendant

PostKrisi is built around a simple optical idea: a shade that catches the light and projects shadows rather than simply covering a bulb. The shade’s edges are cut and fringed rather than left smooth, which breaks up the light passing through it and throws a patterned, faceted shadow onto the walls and ceiling around the fixture rather than a flat pool of light.

The shade is fiberglass, set into a base finished in white varnished metal. It takes an LED bulb, with more bulbs in the larger hemispheres, and the suspension cable is cut to size on site.

As a pendant, PostKrisi works best where its shadow pattern has a plain surface to land on, a stairwell, an entrance hall, or the wall behind a dining table, rather than a room already busy with pattern. Because the collection includes several hemisphere sizes, a designer can scale the fixture from a single pendant to a small cluster without leaving the family.
