Stchu-Moon R takes the same idea as its standing and hanging siblings, an interior surface that scatters and multiplies light, and fits it into a flush recessed housing rather than a visible fixture. Once installed, only the lit hemisphere shows at the ceiling or wall plane; the housing itself disappears into the plasterboard around it.
The shade is aluminium, its interior roughened and lined in a coloured metallic leaf so the light source bounces before it reaches the room, and it takes a GU10 bulb. It is made for plasterboard, so a designer should confirm the ceiling or wall construction before specifying it.
