Mirto Outdoor’s design starts from a choice of top rather than a single fixed material: a die-cast aluminium and extrusion frame that stays constant across the range, carrying a top in painted aluminium, porcelain stoneware, or glazed lava stone tiles finished with a pattern based on traditional Sicilian lace. That range of tops lets one table body serve several different settings without changing the underlying structure.

The lava stone version uses a decoration technique that recycles the glass from discarded monitors and electronic instruments, shattering it and applying it to the tile surface through an exclusive manufacturing process, so the decorative glaze is a byproduct of electronic waste rather than a purely mineral finish. The aluminium frame and aluminium sheet top are both finished with a polyurethane painting for outdoor exposure, and the ferrules at the base are a thermoplastic elastomer.

Mirto Outdoor is built as a full outdoor furniture series, chairs, small armchairs, loungers, small tables and consoles among them, so this table can anchor a dining or lounge layout drawn from the same range. Available in numerous sizes and two heights, it suits a garden dining table at one size and a lower terrace side table at another. Designers should settle on the top material early, since the porcelain stoneware, painted aluminium and lava stone versions each read differently.
