Mirto Table

Mirto Indoor’s design decision is a top made in reduced thickness, engineering the tabletop to look thinner than its structure needs, and offering that thin top across four sizes: one square table and three rectangular ones sharing the same underlying language. The frame is die-cast aluminium and aluminium extrusions throughout, so the four sizes read as one family rather than four unrelated tables.

The tabletop is offered in three material families that read very differently: a veneered MDF wood fibre panel finished in matt or glossy polyester, a glass top, or marble, so a designer can choose between a warm wood grain, a reflective glass surface, or the veined, heavier look of stone on the same frame. Ferrules under the frame are a thermoplastic elastomer, cushioning contact with the floor rather than leaving the aluminium extrusion to rest directly on it. The combinations mean the table can be specified in a fully monochromatic scheme, or with a top that contrasts against the aluminium base.

Sized as a square table or in one of three rectangular formats, Mirto Indoor works as a dining table in a smaller kitchen or breakfast room at the square size, and as a full family dining table at the largest rectangular size. The glass and marble top options suit a formal dining room where the table is a focal point, while the veneered wood fibre top reads warmer for an everyday dining space. Designers should settle on the top material before finalising the room’s other finishes, since glass, marble and wood veneer each set a different tone.
