Senzafine Wardrobe

Senzafine starts from the idea that a wardrobe should never really be finished. Rather than a fixed cabinet, Poliform built it as an open ended system, one that keeps being extended with new structural and finish options rather than settling into one catalogue configuration. The result is closer to an architectural element than a piece of furniture, built to be customised for the specific room it goes into rather than dropped in as a standard unit.

The structure is built from side frames, which can be specified in glass rather than a solid panel, along with back panels, tops, bases and shelves that combine to build the carcass. Onto that structure, Poliform fits hinged, sliding, coplanar or external drawer opening doors, so the same modular frame can take several different ways of accessing the storage behind it. Finishes range from a plain melamine interior through to glass applied across the sides, back panels and doors, which can be specified for a display case type wardrobe where the contents are meant to be seen rather than hidden.

Because the system scales from a single wall of storage to a full walk-in layout, and can be specified with a matching vanity module for a combined dressing area, Senzafine suits a primary bedroom just as well as a dedicated dressing room next to it. Designers should settle on the door mechanism, hinged, sliding or coplanar, early in the process, since each one asks for a different amount of clearance in front of the wardrobe.
