Borea’s outdoor dining table pairs a tubular stainless steel frame with a large lava stone top, sourced from Etna and processed into large, rectangular glazed tiles, so the stone arrives at the table as a finished, glazed surface. The glaze itself is a recycled material, made by recovering the glass from discarded television and computer monitors and applying it to the stone through an exclusive manufacturing process.

Underneath the top, a lower shelf built as a honeycomb panel in aluminium, edged in ABS, adds a second, lighter surface without adding the weight a solid shelf would need to match the stainless steel frame above it. Ferrules and spacers at the base are plastic. The table is offered in two sizes, built to seat six or eight people, so the same lava stone and steel construction scales to a smaller terrace table or a larger garden dining table.

Because Borea is a complete outdoor series including sofas, armchairs, small dining armchairs and small tables built on the same tubular steel language, this dining table anchors a garden or terrace dining setting filled out from the same collection. Designers seating six or eight around it should check the chair collection’s own storage needs against the table’s fixed size.
