Aston “Cord” Outdoor

Aston Cord Outdoor is built as a full range of individual pieces, from armchairs and a sofa to a loveseat, a chaise longue and an ottoman, all sharing one material language so an outdoor seating area can be furnished with the same continuity as a room indoors. The idea is to let conversation carry on between inside and outside, using a frame and backrest treatment sturdy enough for daily weather exposure without giving up the comfort of an upholstered indoor piece.

The frame is stainless steel, prepared for outdoor use in two stages, a zinc primer coat followed by a polyester powder finish, in a polished Pewter colour throughout. The backrests are covered in braided polypropylene cord rather than fabric or hide, in two cord thicknesses matched to the wider outdoor fabric collection, and the stainless steel seat carries a laser-cut geometric pattern beneath its own powder-coat finish. Inside the cushions, a highly durable expanded polyurethane foam is wrapped in a water-repellent fiber, and every cushion is fully removable for cleaning or storage.

Because the range covers a full seating vocabulary, sofa, loveseat, chaise longue, armchairs and ottoman, a terrace, pool deck or covered outdoor room can be furnished entirely from this one collection rather than mixing pieces from different lines. The braided cord back gives it a lighter, more textile look than an all-metal outdoor chair, so it reads comfortably beside a dining table or a low lounge arrangement alike. Because every cushion cover comes off, the collection suits a poolside setting where covers need regular cleaning.
