Husk Outdoor Chair

Husk Outdoor’s dining chair takes the shell construction used across B&B Italia’s Husk Outdoor seating and builds it as a four legged chair for a table, rather than the deeper lounge seat in the same collection. The shell itself is a single molded volume in high density polyurethane resin, a material built to hold a continuous curved shape outdoors without the jointed frame a padded dining chair usually needs underneath it.

Padding follows two layers: a needled section of polyester fibre gives the cushion its base shape, finished with a polyester fibre upholstery for the outer surface. The support frame carrying the shell is die-cast aluminium, finished with a polyester powder coating for outdoor exposure, with plastic ferrules at the base. A waterproof protective cover in PES cloth coated with polyurethane on one side completes the specification.

As the dining chair in the Husk Outdoor range, this piece belongs at a table set for eating outdoors, a covered terrace, a poolside dining spot, or a garden table used through the warmer months, rather than as a standalone lounge seat. The upholstery covers are offered in limited fabric categories, so the choice of cover is worth settling with the rest of the outdoor scheme.
