The Atoll bed is built to extend the same visual language as the Atoll sofas already in the collection rather than stand as a separate design: the same clean, understated lines and rigorous proportions, and the same die-cast aluminium legs set at each corner rather than hidden underneath. That consistency is the whole point of adding a bed to a range that started as seating.

Construction follows the same pattern as the rest of the Atoll range: a tubular steel and steel profile frame, padded with a flexible cold shaped polyurethane foam under a polyester fibre cover, resting on a slatted base built from tubular steel and multi-layered wood. The exposed legs are a separate die-cast aluminium support frame set on plastic ferrules, and the whole bed takes the same cover, fabric or leather, that runs across the rest of the Atoll collection, so a room can match its seating and its bed in the same material without mixing lines.

Atoll suits a primary bedroom in a home that already carries the Atoll sofa somewhere else, since matching the leg detail and the cover material across both rooms is the easiest way to carry one line of furniture through a whole house. Designers introducing Atoll purely as a bed, without the matching sofa nearby, should treat the exposed corner legs as the piece’s main identifying feature and plan the room around them being visible.
