The Dado nightstand takes its character from a single construction detail shared across the whole family: the top and sides project slightly deeper than the drawer fronts beneath them, so the front face reads as a shallow recess rather than a flat block. Within that family, the nightstand is built as one of the shallower elements, its front alternating solid, empty sections with drawers, a composition designed specifically for use at the bedside.

The frame and drawer front are built in painted MDF wood fibre panels, with the drawer interior finished in a melamine faced wood particle panel. The drawer opens on a TIP-ON mechanism that fully extends, so it can be pushed open and closed without a handle, keeping the front reading as a plain painted surface. In the US version, the nightstand is fitted with an anti-tip system, using metal and plastic hardware anchored to the wall, with its own cover kit in painted aluminium extrusion so the hardware stays concealed once installed.

As a bedside piece, Dado is built to sit beside its own taller chests of drawers, sharing the same painted finish and the same depth detail across the front, so a bedroom can be furnished from a single coordinated family rather than mixing separate nightstand and dresser lines. A designer specifying the US version should plan for the anti-tip anchoring point against the wall behind the nightstand before installation.
