Borea Outdoor Chair

Borea’s dining chair takes the same tubular and sheet aluminium frame used across the collection and turns it into a stackable chair for outdoor dining. B&B Italia shapes the lower part of the frame to curve slightly outward as it meets the ground, using the metal bending and curving processes developed for the aeronautical sector to keep that curve as one continuous line rather than a welded joint.

The seat cushion is built around a polyurethane section of varying density, wrapped in a padding of 100% recycled polyester fibre, the same construction used across the Borea collection’s seating. Ferrules in plastic sit under the frame’s feet, and B&B Italia list a waterproof protective cover in PES cloth coated with polyurethane on one side.

Because Borea covers chairs, tables, sofas, armchairs and small tables in one complete collection, this dining chair furnishes an outdoor dining setting, terrace or garden table using the same frame language as the rest of the range. Because it stacks, several chairs can be kept together in a small footprint when the table is not set. Designers planning a full outdoor dining set should pair it with a Borea table sized for the number of chairs the space needs to seat and store, since the collection is built to match across every piece.
